Journeys Onward: Military Veterans’ Experiences
a veteran-curated exhibit of military veterans’ art and words
including art by Citadel cadets, alumni, and faculty
on view at the Salmagundi Club of New York through July 25, 2025
Every member of the U.S. Armed Forces and their family members embark on a journey of complex and enduring experiences that may be hard to grasp outside the military community. Created by veterans, active duty, and family members, these artworks and stories share both their past and their journeys onward to communicate what it means to serve.
For the second time, The Citadel is honored to be included in this meaningful exhibit as pictured above. Citadel artists include Cadets Sarah Grace Lucovsky, Michaela Martin, and Jeremiah Shaw; alumni Catherine Rodriguez ’24 and Tucker Young ’24; and faculty member Rick Sargent. Also featured in the exhibit are Citadel friends Marine Combat Artists Michael D. Fay and Michael L. Reynolds. We are grateful to co-curators Paul Murray and Omar Columbus for this incredible opportunity to share their work!
