Welcome to the Academic Ethics of Faculty Research Project
The Academic Ethics of Faculty Research Project seeks to understand personal and organizational elements that might influence ethics in academia. It aims to better our understanding of individual, administrative, and professional elements, what impact they might have on individual perceptions of the work environment, and how these perceptions might, in turn, drive future professional behaviors.
Participants were solicited because they had an affiliation with a recognized academic institution of some kind. The research team selected a representative sample of Colleges/Universities/Professional Schools from around the globe.
Participants are presented with information relevant to ethics at their respective institution and asked to answer questions about their experience at that institution. The researcher(s) will not have access to traceable identifiers. The anonymity of respondents has been safeguarded through an independent survey administrator that is not part of the research team.
If you would like to contact the Principal Investigation in the study, please e-mail Dr. David Desplaces, ddesplac@citadel.edu. This research was approved by The Citadel’s IRB Committee on December 18, 2021 (IRB 2122-20).
If you are one of the solicited survey participants, we thank you for participating in this research effort.
Sincerely,
The Research Team
