Quentin is a junior, majoring in English, Physics, and German. He currently serves as 5th Battalion Command Sergeant Major. He is originally from Oscar company. He is the President for both The Citadel’s oldest cadet society, The Calliopean Society, and the school’s English Club: Turbela Verborum. The latter he founded last year. Quentin is also the team captain for the Army STAR Challenge, which won first-place for research on use of flywheels in drones. He is a member of the Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl Team, Chess Club, Physics Club, and German Club. Quentin has conducted research on the “Historical Memory of Monuments” in the Balkan region (a project which is ongoing) and studied at a foreign military institution in the Netherlands, training alongside NATO allies. He has also studied abroad in London and Austria. He is vice-president of the Honors College and a member of the Distinguished Scholars Program. His research focuses on fractals, electro-hydrodynamics (Beifeld-Brown effect also continued after initial presentation). He has given presentations on this research and other topics at academic conferences. He has been published multiple times in literary magazines. He is contracted with Army ROTC and hopes to commission into the Army as an infantry officer upon graduation.
