Canvas is The Citadel’s learning management system (LMS).
Get Started
You will have access to Canvas once you are listed as the instructor of record for a course in Banner.
- Go to Canvas at The Citadel, or open the Canvas link in My Citadel Portal.
- Enter your My Citadel Portal username followed by @citadel.edu.
Using Canvas
The Citadel Online Faculty Resources course in Canvas has tutorials, videos, and resources for using Canvas and other online tools. You need to be signed in to Canvas to open it.
Changes to course enrollment, such as adding a co-instructor, are made in Banner through the Registrar and then appear in Canvas.

- Trouble accessing the resource course: Email CEITL from your Citadel email account.
