The Academic Integrity Certificate is for instructors who want to strengthen how they promote academic honesty and protect the security of their assessments, in both online and in-person courses. You will build practical skills for designing assignments and using tools that support original student work.
What You Will Complete
To earn the certificate, complete these three trainings in Canvas:
- Adapting Classes and Assignments for the AI Era: Revise course activities and assessments to reflect how students now use generative AI.
- Respondus LockDown Browser and Monitor: Learn to set up secure, proctored online exams.
- Turnitin Similarity: Learn to use similarity reports to support original work and have informed conversations with students.
Adapting Classes and Assignments for the AI Era also counts toward the Advanced Online Teaching Certificate.
Learn more about these tools on the Turnitin and Respondus LockDown Browser and Monitor pages, and see Teaching in the Age of AI for strategies on designing assignments.
How It Works
All three trainings are self-paced in Canvas and include step-by-step tutorials and hands-on practice tasks. Each training ends with a final quiz, and you must score 90% or higher to complete it. When you have passed all three, you will receive the Academic Integrity Certificate.
