Vice President of Facilities and Engineering

Commander Jeffrey Lamberson, USN (Ret.)
Vice President of Facilities and Engineering

In the past decade, Lamberson completed $1.2 billion in planning, design and construction for the University of South Carolina (USC) and its regional campuses, including the $106.5 million LEED Platinum certified Darla Moore School of Business facility. In addition, he updated the USC master plan and design standards in 2010 and 2018, serving as the director of special projects.

Lamberson has more than 30 years of experience. As a Navy commander, he managed facilities and projects in Texas, Italy, Spain and Washington, D.C., where he was responsible for a $220 million facilities management program with 175 people across 18 installations. After retiring from the Navy, Lamberson managed infrastructure projects in third world countries for a private firm.

Lamberson graduated from The Citadel in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Science degree in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College.

As vice president for facilities and engineering, Lamberson will take over for retired Air Force Lt. Col. Jay Beam, who served as the associate vice president of facilities and engineering until he passed away in the fall of 2018.
