More than 50 Students Receive Top Honors
More than 50 graduating cadets and active duty students received awards recognizing excellence in leadership, academics, athletics, and military performance on May 7. Honors included the American Legion College Award, Intramural Athlete of the Year Award, Congressional Medal of Honor Society Award, Lt. Dan Malcom Jr. Memorial Sword, CNO Distinguished Midshipman Graduate award, and the Francis Marion Cup.
In addition, Sean Fourney, Ph.D., director of the Patricia McArver Public Speaking Lab, received the faculty Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award, while John Dickens, Ph.D., associate professor of supply chain management, received the James A. Grimsley Jr. Award for Undergraduate Teaching Excellence.
