Bridge program building success
As matriculation nears, 50 members of the Class of 2027 have completed Bridge training to prepare them for life in the Corps of Cadets.
The Summer Bridge Program, a new program administered by the Zucker Family School of Education, awarded 50 grants to incoming freshmen to pay for The Citadel Success Institute, a summer transitional program that helps students get a head start in preparing academically, physically and socially for life at The Citadel.
The Summer Bridge Program was created to give first-generation college students or incoming students with financial need a better chance at succeeding in college. The program is funded by a grant from the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education.
