MBA Curriculum
The MBA curriculum is comprised of 36 credit hours (2 essentials courses, 7 core courses, 2 electives, and 1 capstone). In keeping with The Citadel’s mission of facilitating the development of highly effective leaders, all students are required to take and complete LDRS 500 Principled Leadership Seminar in their first semester. There is no charge for seminar participation.
Most MBA courses are available in an accelerated, condensed format, allowing students more flexibility in scheduling their courses and balancing their lives. Courses are taught as hybrid or completely online, and students should strategize with their Academic Advisor to create a completion plan that works for them, choosing to be enrolled part-time or full-time.
Hybrid business courses typically meet face-to-face one evening per week on The Citadel’s campus, with other course activities completed online. All in-person meetings begin at 6:00 pm unless otherwise indicated in the class schedule. Business courses meet in Bastin Hall.
Online business classes are taught using Canvas, an online course management system. Students will login to Canvas via Lesesne Gateway, the student portal. Students needing technical assistance may contact the IT Helpdesk. Students taking online classes are expected to have a reliable computer with internet access. Students will also need a webcam.
