A Pathway to Transition into the Teaching Profession

Camo to Classrooms is a pathway for active duty and veterans to transition into the teaching profession (B.S., Degree Completion, M.A.T.)
The Citadel accepts ACE-recommended military training as transferrable credits and it would allow for some of the general education/electives requirements of The Citadel to be met.
To be competitive with financial assistantships offered by other IHEs, undergraduate candidates could apply for active-duty scholarships (e.g., Blue Ribbon). In addition to the credit-bearing requirements, candidates will be presented with extra-curricular, signature experiences that will allow them to be mentored by school sponsors and mentors as well as coaches who lead activities that align with their interests (e.g., coaching, clubs, organizations, etc.).
To help active-duty military personnel and veterans be viable for such opportunities, the Zucker Family School of Education will stay on top of transition assistance processes in order to maximize both candidate support and outreach.
