Leadership-Focused Education
If you’re going to lead, you need to be able to teach
Whether you aspire to be a leader in the classroom, sports field, office, or battlefield, the Zucker Family School of Education has a program for you.
Do you want to be an educator who leads? The traditional B.S. in Secondary Education includes extensive real-life experience inside local classrooms, and provides a direct track to becoming a licensed teacher in South Carolina.
Would you rather be a leader who educates? The non-licensure track B.S. in Secondary Education is an outstanding choice as a second major. With a focus on non-academic leadership instead of classroom training, this program teaches you practical skills to coach, communicate and manage teams in any environment from a corporate boardroom to a military HQ.
If your schedule doesn’t allow you to add a second major, the Minor in Education is a perfect choice. It will teach you the fundamental skills you need to coach others and convey information effectively, no matter what profession you choose.
