Colonel Benjamin Wham II, PE USAF (Retired), graduated from The Citadel in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and was commissioned through Air Force ROTC. He received a Masters in Astronautical Engineering (Space Facilities) from the Air Force Institute of Technology at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio. His Master’s Thesis was A Non-Linear Study of Polyetherether Ketone Under Compression with a Centrally-Located Circular Discontinuity.
Colonel Wham’s command and leadership responsibilities have included Command of the 366 Civil Engineer Squadron at Mountain Home Idaho; Command of the 407 Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron at Ali Base, Iraq; Director of Air Force Installation Support throughout the Central Command Area of Responsibility; Command of the 437 and 628th Mission Support Groups at Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina; and Command of the US Army Corps of Engineers Afghanistan Engineer District South, based in Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. He has served at base-level; Aeronautical System Center, Major Command and Pentagon in the course of his career.
Colonel Wham retired from the United States Air Force on 1 January 2013, culminating 26 years of dedicated service to our nation. He returned to his alma mater to serve as the Associate Vice President for Facilities and Engineering.
On 1 August 2013, he assumed his current duties.

John Gardner graduated from Clemson University in 1976, with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture. After a career within a private practice in the Charleston, South Carolina area, he accepted the position as Resident Architect for Construction Management in Facilities and Engineering at The Citadel in 1996.
His experience at The Citadel includes the Barracks Replacement Project, Thompson Hall Replacement Project, and other construction projects associated with virtually every building on campus.
John served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1972. While serving in Vietnam, he was awarded the Army Commendation Metal and the Bronze Star Metal.
John and his wife, Lynnette, have four grown children and three grandchildren.

Mary Rockwell Game graduate from the College of Charleston in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Management. She started her career in financial banking for six years and returned to school earning her graduate degree in business and accounting.
In 2009, Mary joined The Citadel as a Fiscal Technician II. She worked her way up to be the Business Manager for the Physical Plant in 2011, quickly advancing to currently serve The Citadel as the Director of Facilities Finance since December 2012.
