Visiting The Citadel
The Office of Admissions hosts prospective cadets on campus several times each year for regularly-scheduled Pre-Knob Overnight Visits and daily for individual visits and campus tours. High School groups are also welcome to visit.
Pre-Knob Overnight Visits. The Pre-Knob Program is a rare opportunity for a non-cadet to observe the cadet lifestyle firsthand. In addition to receiving a Knob host, Pre-Knobs spend the night in the barracks, eat in the Mess Hall, and attend classes.
Parents also receive a special orientation program geared specifically toward future knob parents (information on academics, financial aid, cadet lifestyle, etc.).
Eligibility. Fall Pre-Knob events: Open to any one who has applied for admission (acceptance is not required). Spring Pre-Knob events: Reserved for accepted applicants.
