The Citadel MBA Program has existed to educate and develop innovative principled leaders to serve a global community for over half a century. It is currently offered, for the convenience of busy professionals, in an online format. Participants come with a wide variety of backgrounds, and the program has grown significantly over the last few years. Distinctive aspects of the program include:
- No GMAT or reference letters are required. We understand from candidates’ professional accomplishments and past academic excellence how likely they are to succeed in the program.
- Participants can transfer up to six hours of qualifying previously completed graduate work.
- Courses are offered during accelerated 7-8 week terms, which allow for rolling admissions with six available entry points a year.
- Participants can finish in two years, taking one course at a time, but have the flexibility to skip terms and to go faster or slower to accommodate other commitments.
- Faculty with the highest academic qualifications, and directly related career experience, are accessible and responsive.

The Citadel’s Master of Business Administration distance learning courses are optimized for online instruction and reviewed for quality using best-in-industry standards. You will have the opportunity to interact with colleagues and complete guided instructional activities in our online MBA courses. The convenience of distance learning allows working professionals and military service members to pursue an MBA degree, from any location, without interrupting their careers.
Students have access to Bastin Hall, which is home to the Tommy and Victoria Baker School of Business. This state-of-the-art facility opened its doors in 2021. It is approximately 44,000-square-feet with advanced learning resources including a Financial Services Center, Entrepreneurship-Innovation Lab, Professional Selling Lab, collaborative learning flex spaces, and more.
Applying to the Master of Business Administration Program
Candidates can apply at any time during the year. Accepted students can begin their studies as soon as the next available term. A new course term begins every eight weeks in August, October, January, March, May, June/July.
