Graduate training high school students in biodiesel lab
The Chemistry Department is honored to celebrate the success of one of its graduates. William Epps earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry education in 2016 followed by a master’s in degree in STEM education in 2021.
No rest for biology
In May, Biology Department Head and Marine Biology Professor John Zardus along with Professor Danny Gustafson, who teaches plant molecular ecology, led a study abroad course in Belize on tropical ecology.

Civil and construction engineering cadets had a busy spring semester and carried the momentum into the summer.
High school students learn applied physics on campus
The Department of Physics hosted a summer applied physics experience for high school students in June. During the event, high school students worked with physics faculty and a cadet assistant on several hands-on activities, including the physics of the toy-string shooter.
