Sample Syllabus Statements
Each course syllabus should contain a statement reflecting compliance with The Americans with Disabilities Act and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, Section 504.
Sample 1
The Citadel will provide reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities to make all learning experiences accessible. If you feel you may need accommodations based on the impact of a disability, please contact the Services for Students with Disabilities Office in the Student Success Center, (103 Thompson Hall, 843-953-6877, smckenz1@citadel.edu) to initiate a conversation about your options. Please know that accommodations are not retroactive, so avoid any delays.

If you anticipate issues related to the format or requirements of this course, please meet with me. I would like us to discuss ways to ensure your full participation in the course. If you determine that formal, disability related accommodations are necessary, it is very important that you register with the Shannon McKenzie, M.Ed.
