Since 2000, The Citadel School of Engineering has hosted a week of engineering events in celebration of National Engineering Week. An annual occurrence, National Engineering Week is held in conjunction with George Washington’s birthday and promotes the field of engineering.

The highlight of the week is an engineering fair that invites Lowcountry middle and high school students to participate in a bridge building and a robotics competition. Senior electrical engineering majors also host an interactive display of the senior design projects they have designed and built.
