In addition to being a member of The Citadel Alumni Association Online Community, Citadel Alumni who are interested in serving as a Mentor to current students and alumni are invited to join the hireCitadel Career Network on LinkedIn.
The Citadel Career Center Staff is charged with the primary task of assisting current Citadel Cadets and CGC Students (evening undergraduate and graduate).
- Alumni within 2 years of their graduation from The Citadel who are engaged in an entry-level job or graduate school program search may benefit from using the hireLINK (access login page at left) career management system to search for opportunities, as well as access various resources for career planning and preparation. They may also attend Career Center sponsored recruitment events (career fairs, on-campus interviews, information sessions, and information tables), provided they fall within the candidacy parameters of the participating employers or graduate schools and as long as space is available. (If there are a limited number of slots for on-campus interviews, eligible alumni are asked to make other arrangements with the employer to allow current students to more easily participate).
- Alumni beyond 2 years of their graduation from The Citadel may also benefit from using the hireLINK career management system to search for opportunities, as well as access various resources for career planning and preparation. And they may also participate in career fairs, information sessions, and information tables. However, they must recognize that most opportunities within hireLINK and through recruitment events are entry-level. Thus, they will need to also conduct a more targeted search to discover more advanced positions.
