Professor Emeritus

Dr. Finch is a Professor Emeritus of Psychology following his retirement from The Citadel in May 2015. His teaching interests included learning, human growth and development, and the history of psychology. His research interests are in the area of child and adolescent psychopathology. Dr. Finch is board certified in both Clinical Psychology and Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology, is certified as a Level III school psychologist in South Carolina, and he maintains an interest in professional development. Formerly he served as Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences and as Head of the Psychology Department at The Citadel.
