Required Courses for Your Degree at The Citadel
The Bachelor of Science in Strength and Conditioning requires 122 total credit hours for graduation. These credits are distributed across general education, major coursework, and elective coursework:
- 31-34 credit hours of General Education coursework
- 60 credit hours of Major coursework in Strength and Conditioning
- 30 credit hours of Elective coursework
Elective coursework allows students to explore additional areas of interest such as strength and conditioning, psychology, sport management, business, leadership, and other related disciplines.
As a degree completion program, the number of credits you complete at The Citadel depends on your previous college coursework and transferred credits. Many students enter the program with an associate degree or substantial transfer credit, allowing them to focus primarily on upper-level strength and conditioning coursework during their time at The Citadel. Students work closely with an academic advisor to develop an individualized degree plan that maximizes transfer credit and supports timely graduation.
