The Citadel Faculty Credentialing Manual
The purpose of the Faculty Credentialing Manual is to serve as a resource for the procedures that ensure each faculty member is properly credentialed to teach every course they are assigned. The Citadel’s accrediting body, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), requires that all faculty are properly credentialed to teach their courses. Anyone teaching a course, regardless of rank or type, are required to meet the credentialing guidelines established by SACSCOC. Links to the standard as well as the guidelines are below. (Also, see Appendix A).

Form A and Form B are now combined. Form A should be completed for all new faculty or faculty teaching new courses or in new disciplines. Form B is required only in cases where details in addition to the degrees received are needed to explain their qualifications to teach the course(s).
