Charleston Health & Wellbeing Consortium
The Health and Wellbeing Consortium is a dynamic, cross‑campus alliance transforming how Charleston-area institutions champion student wellness. Founded in 2022 by the College of Charleston, The Citadel, and MUSC, the Consortium has grown in both vision and impact, welcoming Charleston Southern University and Trident Technical College into the partnership in 2026.
Together, these institutions unite around one powerful mission: to elevate student, faculty, and staff wellbeing at the local, state, and national levels. By collaborating across campuses, the Consortium sparks innovative programs, shares best practices, and builds educational opportunities that meaningfully enhance the health of our campus communities. We proudly bring our collective insights to senior leadership and the South Carolina legislature, demonstrating how deeply integrated wellbeing supports academic success, strengthens outcomes, and meets the evolving needs of today’s students.
This is more than a partnership, it’s a movement. And there’s a place in it for everyone who believes student wellbeing drives student success.
