What is NACADA?
The National Academic Advising Association (NACADA), the Global Community for Academic Advising, is a leading professional organization dedicated to advancing the field of academic advising in higher education. Through conferences, publications, research support, and a wide network of professionals, NACADA fosters collaboration, innovation, and continued learning for advisors. It serves as a hub for sharing best practices and promotes advising as a key component of student success and development.

Recently, The Citadel held its first-ever Advising Summit, a campus-wide event inviting faculty, staff and students to engage in an afternoon of collaboration and professional development to strengthen the college’s academic support system.
The Citadel has successfully met all the requirements for its once-a-decade reaccreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, or SACSCOC.
