Student Computer Recommendations:
Attention New & Returning Cadets:
*Starting Fall 2014 we will not connect machines running Microsoft Windows XP or Mac OS below 10.6 (Snow Leopard) on our network.
You Must Install Required Security Software BEFORE You Can Connect.
All Incoming Cadets running Windows 7 must download and install Microsoft Security Essentials before arriving on campus. If you are running Windows 8, you need to enable the built-in anti-virus, Windows Defender. If you own a Macintosh, install ClamXav 2.
If you do not download this free software BEFORE you arrive, you will not be able to access the Internet from The Citadel until you do.
*If you already have AntiVirus Software installed on your computer, remove it. Running numerous Anti-Virus programs can slow and/or corrupt your computer.

All Hiring Departments - To request an account for a new faculty / staff member, submit appropriate paperwork to Human Resources and obtain department head approval. Departmental administrative assistants should enter an Account Request Form.
