Due Dates and Deadlines

4 September 2017 - Player Packet due.
8 September 2017 - In order to be considered for play in the Fall semester, Player Packet must be completed and returned to Deas Hall 201/202.
17 September 2017 - Players must have all required equipment.
29 September 2017 - Deadline for returning players to pay annual dues. See Club Sport Travel for budget information.
9 October 2017 - Deadline for new players to pay annual dues. See Club Sport Travel for budget information.

2017 - 2018 Equipment List

All players must have equipment described below in-hand by 17 September 2017. Freshmen may bring equipment when they report; however, it must be stored in the Citadel Warehouse until classes begin. Freshmen should contact a member of Team Leadership for more information on bringing and keeping equipment in their rooms.


Your helmet must be all white with either a black or silver face mask. All helmets and face masks must be current on NOCSAE approval (National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment). See US Lacrosse for recommendations on staying safe in Lacrosse. See the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Rules for do's and don'ts.
Citadel Lacrosse will provide helmet decals.


Your mouthpiece must be highly visible and cover all upper-jaw teeth. See the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Rules for details.

Athletic Cup

Because of the high contact nature of lacrosse, players should select and bring an athletic cup and supporter.

Gloves and Arm Pads

Gloves and arm pads must be Navy. White may be included as as an accent or trim color. Gloves and arm pads may not be altered in any way.

Shoulder Pads

Pads may not be altered in any way.


Select and bring cleats that match your preference. Cleats may not be metal nor longer than 1/2 inch.

Game Uniform, Under-Jerseys, Compression Shorts and Sweat Pants

Citadel Lacrosse will provide game jerseys. Players must provide all other clothing. If you prefer under-jerseys, compression shorts, and/or sweat pants, they must be a solid white, gray, Navy blue or Citadel blue.

Practice Jerseys

Practice pennies will be provided.


Select and bring a stick with your preferred shaft and head, and one that complies with NCAA regulations. See "Stick Check" in the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Rules for details. Do not alter the head frame in any way. Citadel Lacrosse will have repair stringing kits if needed.


Goalkeepers must have shin guards, chest protector and throat protector that are designed for lacrosse. The crosse must be 10 to 12 inches wide and 40 to 72 inches long. Specialized gloves may be of any color.

Gear Bag

Select and bring a bag suitable for storing and carrying all gear. Players will not be permitted to travel without a gear bag.

Practice and Game Balls

Citadel Lacrosse will provide practice and game balls that are in compliance with NOCSAE and the NCAA. Players may not bring their own balls to practice.


Coaching staff has authority to suspend a player until his equipment meets NCAA and US Lacrosse standards.

Players may not place orders for goods or services on behalf of The Citadel. Cadets must abide by guidelines for Selling in the Barracks as described in The Blue Book, Chapter 2: Cadet Life. Any attempt to bind the college, or teammates, coaches or advisors to a financial obligation may be subject to legal and disciplinary action.
