ZFSOE Hosts Leadership Development for Charleston County’s LIFT Cohort
The Zucker Family School of Education recently welcomed aspiring school leaders from Charleston County School District’s LIFT cohort to campus for a day of professional learning and leadership development. Participants engaged in sessions designed to strengthen essential skills for effective school administration.
Assistant Professor of Education Greg Harrison, Ph.D., along with Emily Duplantis, Ph.D., assistant director for career and technology education for Dorchester District 2, facilitated workshops on Program for Assisting, Developing and Evaluating Principal Performance standards, strategic time management and instructional leadership. Throughout the sessions, members worked to align their professional growth plans with South Carolina’s leadership aims while exploring strategies for navigating the daily opportunities and challenges of school leadership.
The collaboration reflects the ZFSOE’s ongoing commitment to developing principled leaders in education who are prepared to make a positive impact in their schools and communities.
