Dr. Guillory specializes in African American intellectual history, African American popular culture, and African American newspapers. He holds dual doctorates in African American Studies (University of Massachusetts Amherst) and History (University of Texas at Arlington). A native of Texas, he brings a strong record of teaching and public engagement to his current role at The Citadel.
