Available Active Duty Scholarships
The Citadel provides increased access to quality education and lessens the financial challenges associated with pursuing an undergraduate degree to honor those who serve our country. Several scholarship opportunities are available specifically for our active duty and veteran student populations. These scholarships include the Blue Ribbon Scholarship, the Electrical and Computer Engineering Advisory Board Scholarship, Judge Falcon Hawkins Scholarship, and Mother Emanuel AME Church Scholarship.
Blue Ribbon Scholarship
The Citadel offers up to 25 tuition grants to active-duty service members that are enrolled in one of The Citadel’s online undergraduate programs and 25 grants to active-duty members enrolled in a online Graduate degree seeking program. To help minimize out-of-pocket costs, the tuition grant will cap tuition at $250 per credit hour. The grant does not include any additional fees. The grant is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis per academic year. National Guard and Reservists in an active-duty status are also eligible.
I’m Active Duty – Am I Eligible for the Scholarship?
Those eligible for Tuition Assistance (TA) may be eligible for The Citadel’s Blue Ribbon Scholarship. Members of the National Guard and Reserves in an active duty status are also eligible. The Active Duty Military Scholarship covers the remaining cost after eligible TA is applied.
How Much Tuition Is Covered
Through the Blue Ribbon Scholarship program, those awarded are provided a scholarship which will effectively reduce undergraduate and graduate online coursework to $250 per semester credit hour. The grant does not include any additional fees.
How Do I Apply for a Blue Ribbon Scholarship?
Click here to fill out the Blue Ribbon Scholarship Application. Applications are due to the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships at least 30 days before the start of the academic term in which you are seeking the grant.
