Welcome to the Patricia McArver Public Speaking Lab

The Public Speaking Lab is the place for students, faculty, and staff to polish their public speaking skills. From timid talkers to confident communicators, we will help build your skills and confidence when addressing others.
We work one-on-one in the lab, as a group at campus events, and through in-class presentations with talks and activities on speech content and nonverbal delivery.
Our staff consists of students trained in communication best practices from a variety of contexts: Public Speaking, Professional Presentations, Interviewing, Informative and Persuasive Speaking, and Interpersonal Communication.
To make an appointment, simply:
- Log on to our online scheduler, WCONLINE
- Register for an account
- Choose “Public Speaking Lab” from the dropdown menu
- Select a timeslot in white that best fits your schedule
- Click “Create New Appointment” after completing the form
The lab is located in Bond 365 & 367 and is open to assist cadets, CGC and Veteran students as well as faculty and staff. We welcome walk-ins but can better to meet your needs when you book through our online scheduler. We also offer virtual appointment options.
