Rent a Boat on the Ashley River
At the Swain Boating Center, there is a fleet of motorized and non-motorized boats available for use by cadets, students, faculty, staff, alumni, and their qualifying dependents.
If you want to rent a boat, please complete the 3 steps below pertaining to boat rentals:

Renters will be able to pickup and return keys from a designated location outside of staffed hours.
Are boat rentals available all week?
The Swain Boating Center operates 7 days a week between Graduation and Matriculation. For the remainder of the year, the boat center is open Wednesday through Sunday. The boat center is closed during Citadel holidays, Spring, Thanksgiving, and Winter Furlough.
Due to continued silting of our channel, the time that boats can only leave from or return to our channel varies based on tide and depth. Plan your trip around the local Tide Tables and Weather Station!
