Course Registration:
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS, CAREFULLY, TO ENSURE CORRECT REGISTRATION.

All CSI students will be registered in RPED 110, one of the required activity courses, and LDRS 101 (except those taking a 4-hour Math course). However, all CSI students must choose one more course.

  • BADM 110 - Computer Applications in Business (Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management)
  • CRMJ 201 - Introduction to Criminal Justice (Criminal Justice)
  • INTL 201 - Introduction to Intelligence Studies (Intelligence)

  • STAT 160 - Statistical Methods (Psychology, Political Science, Biology, Exercise Science, Physical Education)
All of the above courses WILL count toward undergraduate degree requirements.

    OR

    2. MATH 119 (Precalculus) For STEM majors who:
    • Need to take MATH 131 (Analytic Geometry and Calculus I) for their scholarship program
    • Are interested in pursuing a major or minor in:

    2. Civil, Electrical, Construction, or Mechanical Engineering
    3. Mathematics
    4. Physics

*To enroll in this MATH course, students MUST take the Math Placement Exam (MPE) and receive notification of placement from the Mathematical Sciences Department. Students will receive information about the MPE via email at the end of March. The MPE will open in the spring, and is taken ONLINE.

ALL students may take RPED 155 (Health & Nutrition) in addition to their core courses. RPED 155 is highly recommended for all students, but is vital to those students who may not meet height/weight requirements. This course will count toward the second required RPED activity.

  • IMPORTANT:
*Please select your FIRST- choice core course as well as a SECOND- and THIRD- choice course. STEM majors will be placed in the appropriate Math course. All other students should pick their course according to their majors.

YES to one or more questions (1-7), you MUST have written clearance from your doctor BEFORE you become more physically active or BEFORE you have a fitness appraisal during CSI. Tell your doctor about the PAR Q and which questions you answered YES. You may be able to engage in physical activity, but you may need to begin, slowly, and then, build up your fitness level. Or, you may need to restrict your activities to those which are safe for you. Consult with your doctor about any kinds of activities that you must avoid and follow his/her advice.

NO to all questions: If you answered NO, honestly, to all PAR-Q questions, you can be reasonably sure that you can become more physically active. You will want to begin slowly and build up gradually.
A fitness appraisal provides an excellent way to determine your basic fitness and to help you determine what activities are best for you.

    Payment Information:
You will receive your Lesesne Gateway portal credentials from the Admissions Office, and will then be able to pay your CSI bill online through the student tab in Lesesne Gateway. Follow the CSI online and Facebook pages for when payment will become available. Please pay the balance due within 30 days of payment availability to guarantee your attendance and class placement. The total bill for CSI is $3000 (both in-state & out-of-state). Do not email or fax payment information.

Note: The Citadel will accept 529 plan payments for the CSI fee. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept payments from pre-paid tuition plans. Pre-paid plans require a per-credit-hour rate to be utilized. In an effort to offer the CSI program at the lowest possible cost, the program was packaged and a comprehensive CSI fee was determined. A credit-hour rate cannot be extracted from the CSI fee. It is advantageous to utilize a pre-paid tuition plan when students are enrolled in a full-time status.

I understand that I MUST be Medically Cleared and have all vaccinations required by The Citadel NO LATER than May 25, 2020. (*)
