Grimsley Hall
Grimsley Hall is home to the Department of Physics (opens in a new tab); Department of Engineering Leadership and Program Management (opens in a new tab); Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (opens in a new tab); Graham Copeland Auditorium; the Bernard Gordon Conference Room; a computer room and extensive laboratories. The academic building provides a modern and complete educational environment. Copeland Auditorium is a 140-seat facility acoustically designed for audio presentations.
Named in honor of Maj. Gen. James A. Grimsley, Jr., a 1942 graduate and the 16th president of the college, the building is situated facing the north side of Summerall Field. The auditorium was made possible by Paola Groverman in memory of her father, D. Graham Copeland, a 1903 alumnus who is credited with building a very difficult portion of the Tamiami Trail, the highway that traverses the state of Florida.
