Bio
Dr. Shawn Enriques is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Tommy and Victoria Baker School of Business at The Citadel. His teaching interests include personal selling, marketing, marketing strategy, and social media marketing. He has published in the Journal of Micromarketing and Society and Technology, and his research interests include consumer response and strategy of gamification and development in emerging markets.
Shawn retired from the United States Navy as a Lieutenant Commander in the Civil Engineering Corps and was qualified as an Expeditionary Warfare Tactics Instructor and Seabee Combat Warfare.
His diverse life experiences inform his research interests and student experiences in the classroom. Dr. Enriques draws upon twenty-two years of sales and sales management experience in industrial and factory automation sales and is a licensed professional engineer. He has also owned and operated two businesses, including a Japanese restaurant in Colorado.
Dr. Enriques holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, a Master of Business Administration from Regis University, a Master of Science in Economics, and earned his Ph.D. in Management and Marketing, both at the University of Wyoming.
