Bio
Catherine Howard is a retired Army Officer, who served a combined 20 years as both an enlisted soldier, and an Adjutant General Corps officer. She served with various units, most notably the 10th Mountain Division in Kosovo (2001-2002), the 82nd Airborne Division in Iraq (2006-2007), and the 3rd Infantry Division in Afghanistan (2012-2013). Her 30+ years of military, human resources, business, and paralegal experience span HR administration, business operations, law, finance, and military leadership. Her various roles include an Operating/Financial Officer, Business Owner, HR Generalist III, and U.S. Army Human Resources Senior Manager, where she oversaw personnel operations, readiness, employee lifecycle activities, and evaluations for more than 3,000 employees while developing policy and advising leaders on complex HR matters.
Catherine Howard brings an interdisciplinary academic foundation that combines business, accounting, and legal education. Her professional experience in employment law, regulatory compliance, organizational policy, financial management, legal research, and leadership provides a practice-oriented perspective for teaching and mentoring college students. She also brings the perspective of a veteran leader, business owner, and legal professional, allowing her to connect academic concepts with practical organizational and professional challenges.
