Bio
Dr. Beck is an Assistant Professor specializing in Literacy Education. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in General and Special Childhood Education from Manhattan College, a Master’s Degree in Reading Education from Ohio University, and more recently, a Ph.D. in Literacy from St. John’s University.
Dr. Beck’s research expertise focuses on the Science of Reading, early literacy and language acquisition, and PK-12 ESOL strategies and pedagogies. Her expertise in these areas serves as the cornerstone of her teaching methods, ensuring that her students benefit from evidence-based instructional approaches.
Dr. Beck has taught in a wide range of schools, covering different grade levels and districts. She has experience teaching in both online and in-person teaching, ensuring her students have a flexible and engaging learning experience.
