Complete Your Nursing Degree at The Citadel
The Swain Department of Nursing offers an undergraduate Bachelor of Science (BSN) in Nursing. The program is designed and offered to enable the full time student to complete the upper division of the program and receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in five semesters. This program is offered in cooperation with South Carolina technical colleges or other regionally accredited institutions where the student completes the first two years of study. The junior and senior years of study are completed at The Citadel by attending evening classes.
The evening division is divided into five semesters with the first semester taking place Spring 2017:

|Spring 1||nursing science and the science behind illness.|
|Summer 1||the healthy adult.|
|Fall||to care for acutely ill adult.|
|Spring 2||continued care for acutely ill adult and are introduced to the care for special populations.|
|Summer 2||continued care for special populations as well as leadership skills.|
Similar to the Corps of Cadets, an 80 hour clinical course with 72 of those hours in direct patient care under the guidance of an expert preceptor finishes the summer semester.
