Cost and Important Dates


The total cost for CSI is $3,000 and is based on 4 credit hours, room and board.  Payment is due 30 days prior to the start of the session. Pay within 30 days of receiving your bill to reserve your class placement.  

Fee Schedule 2020

Payment Information: CSI bills will be generated when classes are assigned to each student. If your bill is not available through Lesesne Gateway, please contact us at 843-953-5705/ for COL Chris Fudge, Director; or 843-953-6773, for MAJ Melinda Norris, Assistant Director; so we can check on this process for you. All payments will be online, so please DO NOT send cash or check. Refer to the directions at the bottom of this page to make your payment.

Note: The cost of books varies according to the course and instructor, but the average cost of books for CSI is $150-$200. Students are encouraged NOT to bring cars to campus because of the shortage of parking. However if a student must bring a car, they will only be able to drive their vehicle to arrive at CSI and, then, to return home. The administration will keep the car keys for the cadet.

19 Meal Plan includes
Monday – Friday: breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Saturday – Sunday: brunch and dinner

Auxiliary Fee $100 (Fee covers medical services, laundry, as well as the use of athletic facilities)
Barracks Security Deposit $100 (non-refundable)
Activity Fee** $200 (Fee covers weekend excursions in the Charleston Area—for example, Discover/Explore Charleston, Dive into Charleston, Serve Charleston.)

* These weekend supervised and expert-led activities are designed to help students learn about the rich history of Charleston’s downtown area and its numerous forts. Experience the natural beauty of the low country’s marshes, waterways, and the barrier islands on a kayak, paddle board, or boat. Participate in team-building experiences through sailing and/or other excursions.

*If the student is interested in Citadel Athletics, he/she MUST attend Session 1.

Medical Clearance:  All students MUST be medically cleared by May 26, 2020 to participate in CSI - no exceptions.  Please contact Brenda Pelham in the Infirmary at 843-953-6847 with questions.  

Payment Information: Bills are generated as soon as students are scheduled for classes, and will be posted in Lesesne Gateway by the end of March.

STEPS TO PAY YOUR BILL: Go to Click Connect. Click Lesesne Gateway Portal. Log in. Click the Student tab. Click Pay Your Bill at the top left of the page. Click Make Payment and follow the directions.  Please make sure you are looking at the 2019-2020 school year and Summer 2020 NOT Fall 2020.
