Welcome to the 2025-2026 Rifle Legion Leadership page. Our cadet leadership has been hand-selected based on the demonstration of drill, attention to detail, leadership, and work ethic skills to ensure the most upright performance for our team.
Commanding Officer
Cadet Clayton Vande-Burgt

Cadet Vande-Burgt, class of 2026, and part of November Company. He was born in Sissonville, West Virginia, and currently lives in Beaufort, South Carolina. He is a Political Science Major and is pursuing work in the military as a lawyer, also known as JAG, in the United States Marine Corps. Cadet Vande-Burgt has 4 years in the Color Guard, has worked on Exhibition, and worked on the Regulation team for 2 years to better lead the Rifle Legion team to the greatest.
He has been on the team for 4 years. He was chosen to be the Commander after his experience as the 1st Sergeant in his previous year and his position in the Color Guard Squad. He works closely with SFC Greene to instill proper logistics and operations in the team.
Executive Officer
Cadet Christopher Banks

Cadet Banks, class of 2027, part of Papa Company. His current Rank is 1SGT for F-Troop Company. Cadet Banks is from Sumter, South Carolina. He is an Intelligence pursuing work in the Marine Corps as an Aviator and hopefully in a similar civilian sector when he gets out of the Service. Cadet Banks likes to hang out with friends and go to the Gym.
He has been on the team for 3 years. Cadet Banks has done armed exhibition and regulation on Rifle Legion for 2 years now. He works hand-in-hand with Cadet Reese, Cadet Vande-Burgt, and SFC Greene to provide support for proper logistics and handle other team affairs.
1st Sergeant
Cadet Jackson Reese

Cadet Reese, class of 2028, and part of F-Troop. He is from Tampa, Florida. He is an Intelligence. He is pursuing work in the military as a Military Policeman or an Infantry officer in the United States Army. Cadet Reese has served for 2 years in the Regulation, Color Guard Squads, and worked for 7 years on an Exhibition Team.
As the 1st Sergeant of the team, he works hand-in-hand with Cadet Vande-Burgt and SFC Greene to provide support to instill proper logistics and handle other affairs of the team. Not only is he the 1st SGT, but he also teaches the Rifle Legion Exhibition team for performances such as at Basketball Games.
