Bio:
Dr. Ashley Bukay has been an Assistant Professor at the Citadel since September 1, 2021. She obtained my Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) an Associate degree in Science (AS) from Trident Technical College in 2010, a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN): Summa Cum Laude from MUSC in 2014, and her Master’s of Science in Nursing Education (MSN-Ed) from Western Governor’s University in 2017, and lastly her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Chamberlain University in October of 2021. Dr. Bukay has been a nurse for 11 years- primarily in the adult cardiac and vascular surgery areas, as well as cardiac procedural, and a short stint in pediatric outpatient psychiatry. On a personal note, she is originally from the Chapel Hill area of North Carolina and moved to Charleston in 2007. She spends her free time hanging out with her son (Alexander) and cat (Maverick). She loves all music, being around the water, sports, dancing, attending/serving at church, and traveling. She would like to improve my yoga, learn acoustic guitar and American Sign Language (ASL), and maybe coach her son’s soccer team if time allows.
