Bio:
Dr. Plitnick earned her PhD from the University of Florida, a Master’s of Science in Nursing as a Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist from Northwestern State University, a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Oklahoma State University. Dr. Plitnick has spent over 30 years in clinical practice in the areas of Cardiovascular Critical Care and Emergency Services. She has taught extensively in undergraduate and master’s programs since 1993 coordinating and teaching Critical Care Nursing, Nursing Research, Advanced Pathophysiology, Adult Medical/Surgical and Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist courses, among so many others. Dr. Plitnick recently joined as full-time faculty in the Swain Department of Nursing and is thrilled to call Charleston, SC her new home.
