MS Leadership Curriculum
The MS Leadership curriculum is comprised of 36 credit hours (7 core courses, 1 research methods course, 3 electives and 1 capstone). This program is designed to enhance the ability of students from any academic background and level of professional experience to perform effectively as principled leaders in their present or future leadership roles. The program utilizes a holistic approach achieved through interdisciplinary and integrated courses to engage students in comprehensive learning about leadership in applied contexts.
In keeping with The Citadel’s mission of facilitating the development of principled leaders, all students are required to take and complete LDRS 500 Principled Leadership Seminar within their first two semester. There is no charge for seminar participation.
Courses are taught completely online, and students should strategize with their Academic Advisor to create a completion plan that works for them, choosing to be enrolled part-time or full-time.
Online leadership classes are taught using Canvas, an online course management system. Students will login to Canvas via Lesesne Gateway, the student portal. Students needing technical assistance may contact the IT Helpdesk. Students taking online classes are expected to have a reliable computer with internet access. Students will also need a webcam.
