Dr. Michael Verdicchio is an Associate Professor in the Department of Cyber and Computer Sciences at The Citadel, where he has taught since 2011. He holds a PhD and a BSE in Computer Science and Computer Systems Engineering from Arizona State University.
Dr. V teaches across the full arc of the undergraduate and graduate experience — from first-semester freshmen to working professionals completing a master’s degree. His current research sits at the intersection of CS education, algorithms, and software engineering, with earlier work in computational biology and bioinformatics.
Beyond the classroom, he serves as Graduate Program Director for Computer Science and leads assessment efforts for the department’s ABET accreditation. He is a Senior Member of the ACM and a Program Evaluator for ABET’s Computing Accreditation Commission.
