Dr. Behshad Pournasr is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at The Citadel. He specializes in cell biology, immunology, and developmental biology. His research focuses on rare disease modeling and drug discovery using stem cells and hepatic differentiation, with the long-term goal of advancing regenerative medicine.
At The Citadel, Dr. Pournasr teaches courses in cell biology, immunology, and developmental biology, and plans to introduce a future course in regenerative medicine.
