Nurse Student Athletes

Meet our Athletes

caricia 3 2My name is Caricia Rodriguez and I’m a senior from Naperville, IL. I chose to attend The Citadel because I wanted something different. I have been playing volleyball for 11 years and have always wanted to play Division 1. The Citadel allowed me to follow that dream. Being a cadet athlete has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have gone through. It’s extremely challenging at times, but I have learned so much from this experience that I would not change a thing. I decided to major in Nursing to be able to help and comfort and support families during difficult times.

My name is Blake Oliveira and I’m from Maryville, Tennessee. I chose The Citadel because I wanted to be able to play football, be a member of the Honor’s Program and live in Charleston!

maya 2My name is Mya Dollard. I am a Cadet Sophmore from Johnsonville, SC and I’m on the Women’s Track and Field Team. I came to the Citadel for job opportunities and different networking systems after graduating. I want to be a nurse because I love helping others and I’ve always been around good nurses. My greatest achievement as an athlete is earning the #2 spot of all time for women’s high jump at the Citadel as a freshman.
