Securing Your Final Acceptance

Congratulations on your academic acceptance to the Class of 2029 South Carolina Corps of Cadets!  We are excited for you to join the #1 University in the South. 

To receive Final Acceptance and your invitation to matriculate into the Corps of Cadets the following must be completed:

1. Pay the $300 enrollment deposit”

  • Click here to visit the “Pre-Cadet” link.
  • Select “Click here to make your enrollment deposit” and then “I agree.”
  • On the next page, scroll down to the “Available Items” section and click “Admissions Deposit.”
  • Click “checkout” at the bottom of the next screen.
  • Choose payment method and follow prompts to complete payment.
  • (Deposit is refundable until June 1st by submitting a request to admissions@citadel.edu .)

2. Be medically cleared by The Citadel’s MUSC Clinic

All students must be cleared by The Citadel’s Medical Clinic by July 1st. 

Instructions for medical clearance will be emailed to the student AFTER they receive academic acceptance and completed their deposit. For more information, please contact MUSC Health at The Citadel directly at citadel@musc.edu or 843-953-4827.

The Citadel’s MUSC Medical Clearance

  • Active insurance effective from 8/1/2025 for the entire duration of your enrollment at The Citadel is required. Please note: You should verify and understand benefits coverage in the state of South Carolina.
  • Completion of the Medical History Questionnaire through MUSC MyChart
  • Completion of the Physical Examination and Medical Eligibility forms, found within your Medical History Questionnaire. Make an appointment with your personal medical provider (MD, DO, NP, PA) for completion. Upload the completed and signed forms to your MUSC MyChart for review by the Medical Director at The Citadel.

Please Note: These forms cannot be completed by anyone at MUSC Health at The Citadel and are required for medical clearance.

  •  The state of South Carolina requires all state colleges and universities verify each student’s legal presence in the United States. Please provide a copy of one of the following: U.S. Birth Certificate, Real ID, Visa, Passport, SC Driver’s License (mail or email)

4. Official FINAL high school transcript

  • Due on or before July 1st. Must include high school graduation date with senior year grades. *TRANSFER students only: Official FINAL college transcript due 1 July.
