“I came to The Citadel to get additional opportunities that most other ROTC cadets don’t get to experience.”
I also came to run track and cross country at the college level and gain some mental fortitude from the fourth class system. After graduation I plan on becoming a soldier like my father.
One saying that’s stuck with me since knob year was what one of the seniors used to tell us whenever we were doing things that sucked, “it’s just another thing”. Now whenever I’m doing something difficult, I tell myself that and it can help that little extra bit.
The Citadel
There are about 2,400 undergraduate students who make up the South Carolina Corps of Cadets. 82% of Cadets receive financial aid, and over 88% are employed at the time of graduation. Students can choose from over 30 Majors, 50 Minors in five academic schools, with an accelerated medical program. The 11:1 student-to-faculty ratio and 95% of faculty having PhD’s (or the highest degree offered in their discipline) guarantees students a quality education.
