Bio
Guy Ilagan teaches graduate students in The Citadel’s Zucker Family School of Education, in Counselor Education Programs . Guy received his PhD from Clemson University – in Educational Leadership.
He earned a master’s degree in clinical counseling from The Citadel, and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from College of Charleston. Guy is a SC Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and National Board Certified Counselor.
He also provides training (international) to counselors on suicide prevention. His research interests include counselor effectiveness, wilderness experience, and college student mental health. Guy is an avid hiker, paddler, and cyclist. One of his accomplishments is that he completed an end-to-end hike of the Appalachian Trail.
