Dr. Chad Hershock is the Executive Director of the Eberly Center for Teaching Excellence & Educational Innovation at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, where he leads the Generative Artificial Intelligence Teaching as Research (GAITAR) Initiative. Chad holds a Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Michigan and has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning and Educational Development. His teaching experience includes courses in ecology and STEM education at both Carnegie Mellon University and University of Michigan.
