Bio
Dr. Kwangsoo Kevin Lim received an MBA and a PhD from Purdue University. His major area was accounting and his minors were finance and econometrics. His dissertation title is ‘The Association between Agency Costs and Cash Disbursements through Dividends and Share Repurchases.’ His current research areas are corporate payout policy, leverage policy, disclosure practices of banks, and measurements of intangible assets. His research focuses on issues that could directly impact his students. As he had spent six years in Hallym University in Korea and a summer in Linyi University in China, he brings diverse perspectives of business practice to his class.
Before Dr. Lim moved to US to study accounting, he received a BE and a ME in geophysical engineering from the Seoul National University. Dr Lim was commissioned as a second lieutenant of Korean Army after attending the Korea Army Academy for six months.
He is married to Jeesook Beck, who is an independent curator for contemporary art. They enjoy ocean kayaking, road cycling, and travelling.
