Bio
Dr. Roman Bohdan is an Assistant Professor of Finance at The Citadel. Prior to joining The Citadel, he was a tenured Associate Professor of Business Finance at Ferrum College and a Visiting Lecturer at Hollins University. He earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in Financial Economics from LSU New Orleans (formerly the University of New Orleans) and an M.B.A. in Finance from Eastern Washington University.
Dr. Bohdan’s teaching interests include financial management, investments, international finance, financial derivatives, and FinTech. Before his academic career, he gained nearly a decade of professional experience in Ukraine’s banking industry, progressing from an entry-level position to a senior financial management role.
His research lies at the intersection of empirical corporate finance and empirical asset pricing, with particular interests in corporate innovation, financial networks, institutional investors, and the role of debt and equity stakeholders in corporate decisions. His research has been published in the Journal of Financial Research and Finance Research Letters. He has also presented his work at numerous academic conferences, including the Financial Management Association Annual Meeting, where one of his papers was a semifinalist for the Best Paper Award in Corporate Finance.
